Britten School is capable of meeting the needs of Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder. These students have difficulty initiating social interactions and therefore their attempts to make and keep friendships are typically unsuccessful. They also demonstrate difficulties with organization and planning which hampers independence. Britten School meets the needs of Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder students. Along with the aforementioned challenges, Level 2 students also demonstrate inflexibility of behavior, difficulty coping with change and repetition of behaviors across contexts.
